So, the other day, while waiting FOREVER for my husband to finish smoking dinner, I decided I wanted to snack on some extra bacon that was calling my name from the fridge. I’m certainly not against eating an entire pound of crispy, delicious bacon, but I decided I also wanted some of the salsa con queso that I found in the fridge beside the bacon….enter in the loaded seasoned fries!
So, obviously, I had to cook some seasoned fries, which were so handily in the freezer. If you don’t have frozen fries on hand, Homemade Fries are also delicious and tasty. They just take a little bit more prep to make than dumping frozen potatoes on a cookie sheet.
Once you’ve started cooking the fries per their package instructions, time to cook that bacon! Fry it up in a skillet nice and crispy! I always choose to cook bacon in my cast iron skillet because it’s just better in every conceivable way and also helps the seasoning of the skillet. It’s really a win-win.
Once the fries and bacon are cooked, time to warm up the salsa con queso! Put a bed of fries down on your plate, then load it up with the cheese dip, some shredded cheddar cheese, plenty of that crumbled up, perfect bacon, and a dollop of sour cream!!
Dig in! This is a judgement free zone!! Enjoy!
