So, this is pizza made with Redbeard’s Alfredo Sauce. I honestly can say this is the best Alfredo sauce I’ve ever experienced in my life. I love finding new ways to use it. What’s on the menu this week? Chicken Alfredo Pizza, of course!
For this, obviously you will need pizza dough. I always use my Perfect Pizza Dough recipe, which makes 2 pizzas worth of dough. You can half the recipe if you only want to make one pizza, but no one has ever complained about my making 2 pizzas instead of 1….
Start by rolling out the pizza dough and putting it on a floured pizza pan, then start on your toppings.
You will need to saute some diced chicken in one skillet while you saute some sliced onion in another. I highly recommend cast iron. You will also need to make a batch of Redbeard’s Afredo Sauce, of course.
Once the toppings are prepped, add a LIBERAL amount of Alfredo sauce to the crust. Spread it around nice and thick, and then add your diced chicken.
Then, plenty of shredded mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle around the caramelized onion slices over the cheese.
Bake in a preheated oven or smoker (like this one) at 450 for 10 minutes, then sprinkle a handful of spinach over the pizza and cook 5 minutes longer until the crust is golden and the spinach is nicely wilted.
For the final touch before serving, drizzle more of that wonderful Alfredo sauce all over the top of the pizza! Cut and enjoy! Use more of the Alfredo as dipping sauce for the crust too! We never have leftovers of this one!
Chicken Alfredo Pizza
Equipment
- Oven or Smoker
Ingredients
- 1 pizza dough crust
- Alfredo Sauce
- 1 cup diced chicken
- mozzarella cheese shredded
- ½ onion cut into half slices
- ½ cup fresh spinach
- sliced mushrooms optional
Instructions
- For this recipe, you will need pizza dough spread out over a floured pizza cooking tray. Try my recipe for Perfect Pizza Dough which makes 2 pizzas worth of dough!
- Saute the diced chicken in a greased skillet with a dash of salt and pepper. In a separate skillet, saute the onion and optional mushroom slices.
To Assemble:
- Once the pizza dough is spread out over the floured pizza tray, spread Alfredo Sauce around the pizza as the base. (Try Redbeard's Delicious Alfredo recipe here!)
- Spread the diced chicken around the pizza and then top with as much mozzarella cheese as you desire.
- Then, sprinkle the onion slices and optional mushrooms all over the top of the pizza.
To Cook:
- Option 1: My favorite option. Prep/Turn on a smoker to 450° and smoke the pizza for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and starting to brown, and the crust is crisp and golden.
- Option 2: Bake in a preheated oven at 450° for 10-15 minutes until cooked to the specifications in option 1. (my oven's sweet spot seems to be around 12 minutes).
- Whichever option you choose, add the spinach to the top of the pizza 2-5 minutes before the pizza finishes cooking.
- Once cooked, drizzle some more of that delicious Alfredo sauce over the entire pizza. Enjoy!!

Chicken Alfredo Pizza is one of my favorites! I love that you’re using fresh spinach in this way. It gives such nice color to a traditionally white pizza.
